Frog Catching

You might be a redneck... I know, but it really is fun! Tonight Wayne took the Eli and Max "frog catching." We've been doing this with the boys for the last few years. It happens to be one of their favorite activities. When they got home, we woke Oki up so that she could see the frogs. She wasn't all too thrilled with the idea of touching them. We let all of them go except two. They are now in the aquarium with the lizard . Yes, we have a zoo at our house!

Puppies! Free to a Good Home

We have 11 puppies at our house and they must go. The boys adore them, but Oki loves them best! She talks about the "baby dogs" constantly. She usually meets her daddy at the door each afternoon so that he can take her to see them. No matter how much the children like them, they must go...I am including some picures. They are 7 weeks old and ready to go. Let me know if you are interested!

This and That

I've been a little busy lately so I haven't posted as much as I'd like... Just to fill you in a little... School is out for me!!! Woo Hoo!!! I still have to work some this summer, but not every day! Eli's baseball season is almost over. His team won the first game of his tournament this past Monday night. He is playing the second game tonight...don't know yet if they won or not. Max began T-ball Monday night. He even made a double play!!! The boys both participated in their field day a couple of weeks ago. See pics below... Oki has been sick this week. We took a road trip to see Dr. Adams in Dothan on Tuesday. Diagnoses: Bronchitis, ear infection in Rt. ear, ingrown toenail. Cure: Antibiotic, steroid, cough med. She's much better now, but we decided it would be best for her to stay in tonight...that's why I'm not at the ball field watching my biggest boy play... Eli and Max after field day... Max after his first T-Ball game...Brothers doing what they

Happy Mother's Day

I know it's two days late, but I really wanted to do a Mother's Day post. I hope you all had a great day. Wayne really, really spoiled me this year. I received a present Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! How's that for spoiling? Sunday we had a nice lunch. Wayne's mom, Martha, and his brother, Matt, came to our house for lunch. Martha and I each cooked a part of the meal so that neither of us had the whole burden. All in all, it was great! I even had time after lunch for a nice nap! The real reason that I wanted to write this post is to honor my mother, Oki Carnley. Some of you may know that she died in 1983 at the young age of 39. Even after almost 25 years without her I still miss her soooooo... much. I miss her a lot especially when I see my friends with their mothers. Many days I wonder why and what if...My sisters, dad and I have often talked about this. What good was there in her early death? The questions go unanswered, but one thing that I am su
